La Pinede " Charente"

We are pleased to continue to offer this camp site in the Charente. The superb aquatic park has to be the highlight with some of the best water slides in the area, a lazy river, Jacuzzi, and both covered and open air pools. Only a short walk away is Luna Park, a fantastic fairground with all the latest rides. Also within walking distance are centres for horse-riding and quad biking. The site has a great range of activities including table tennis, boules, archery, gym, volleyball, basketball and tennis. There are also 2 outdoor ten pin bowling alleys, bouncy play area, multi-sports court, water games, crazy golf and a small children's farm. Free evening entertainment is available in high season including karaoke, disco and live bands. The park also offers a bar, creperie, shop, restaurant, takeaway, games room, TV area, laundry, bike hire and a safety deposit box facility. Our traditional style mobile homes are each complimented with their own decks affording added space and value.

Offering a selection of shaded and sunny pitches, the site is set in picturesque woodland only a short drive from fine white sandy beaches with free adjacent parking. Local seafood restaurants abound and the cosmopolitan resort of Royan is only a short distance away as is Marennes, world famous for oyster production. Sample the local produce whilst sipping a glass of chilled white wine and soaking up the sun.

The fantastic zoo in La Palmyre is well worth setting aside a full day for, as is a boat trip departing from the beautiful Ile d'Olron to Fort Boyard. Continue on to Rochefort or to La Rochelle, famous for its delightful old harbour, and visit one of the best sea life aquariums on the West Coast. For the golf enthusiasts amongst you, there are several 18-hole golf courses in the area. The casino in Royan, and tours of the local Cognac and Pineau distilleries in the area are also highly recommended. After the tour you can purchase locally produced products at discounted prices.
